A native of Belton, Texas, he studied at Baylor University and earned his medical degree from UT-Houston Medical School before completing his Family Practice residency in Waco, where he served as Chief Resident. He began his career as the only physician in Garza County, Texas, gaining broad experience in rural medicine before transitioning into functional medicine.
Dr. Edwards’ approach integrates nutrition, movement, mental health, environment, and advanced therapies such as IV treatments into personalized care. At Veritas, he restructured the model of practice to allow longer, more thorough visits, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive evaluation and root-cause-focused treatment.
