Dr. Meyer is an Integrative Medicine Physician and Iowa Native. He received his medical degree from Des Moines University. He completed his Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Dr. Meyer was the Chief of Family Medicine at Moody AFB in Valdosta, Georgia. While there, he deployed to the Middle East, providing routine and emergency medical care. He returned to Iowa in 2011, practicing Family Medicine in the greater Des Moines area. In 2018, Dr. Meyer joined a medical practice in his hometown of Okoboji, Iowa. In 2022, he launched the “Okoboji Wellness Clinic” (OWC), an Integrative Medical Clinic with Direct Provider Care, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Here, you can get your routine Family Medicine care or take a deeper dive into chronic conditions through a functional medicine/nutrition “root cause” approach. The focus is on equipping the guest with the right education, support and tools as our team walks alongside you in your wellness journey. This often involves multiple complementary medical approaches and modalities.
