Dr Mel Schottenstein is the owner and medical director at Mitogenesis — an integrative oncology clinic in Scottsdale AZ. Chronically ill as a child and given a death sentence by her physician, who claimed she wouldn’t live beyond age thirty due to her mitochondrial dysfunction, Dr. Mel became devoted to investigating the root causes of one’s condition, repairing her own health, and getting off numerous pharmaceutical agents. Her clinic, Mitogenesis focuses on the possible sources of one’s cancer as well as targeting the existing damage, wrought by disease-inducing processes. Dr. Mel completed her undergraduate degree at Harvard University, a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, her Naturopathic medical degree at Bastyr University, and a Master’s in Nutrition at National University of Natural Medicine. Dr. Mel pursued fellowships in integrative cancer therapy and stem cell therapy. She has trained in environmental medicine, peptide therapy, neural therapy, acupuncture, and Ayurvedic medicine. Additionally, she has completed post-graduate training in Swiss Biological Medicine and studied, internationally, various holistic modalities for cancer. Stemming from Dr. Mel’s training, she creates completely customized treatment protocols for each individual, incorporating therapies such as IV therapy, ozone, EBOO, photodynamic therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hydrogen gas therapy, botanical medicine, and other treatments.
