Dr. James “Dr. Neu” Neuenschwander, MD is the founder of Bio Energy Medical Center, an integrative and holistic medical practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since 1988, he has dedicated his career to helping patients—both children and adults—who struggle with complex, chronic conditions that have not responded to conventional medicine. Dr. Neu earned his Bachelor of Science (Magna Cum Laude, Honors in Cellular & Molecular Biology) and Medical Degree from the University of Michigan, where he also completed three years of surgical residency before turning toward integrative medicine. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Integrative/Holistic Medicine, and Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine, and is certified in chelation therapy.
A fellow of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS) and a former Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) practitioner, Dr. Neu is recognized internationally for his lectures on detoxification, immune system dysfunction, chronic illness, autism, ADHD, and the gut-brain-immune connection. Beyond his practice, he enjoys time with his wife, children, grandchildren, boating, and fishing—all while continuing his lifelong passion for improving patient outcomes through advanced integrative care.
