Dr. Kristen Roeder, MD is the founder of Caritas Pediatrics & Wellness in Austin, Texas, where she provides holistic, relationship-centered pediatric care. Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the National Board of Physicians & Surgeons, she brings more than a decade of diverse experience spanning neonatal intensive care, outpatient clinics for children with complex medical needs, academic pediatrics, and general practice.
A Texas native, Dr. Roeder earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston Clear Lake and conducted research at NASA’s Johnson Space Center before obtaining her MD with honors from Trinity College Dublin. She completed her pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio. She is also a member of the American College of Pediatricians and is pursuing fellowship with the Medical Academy of Pediatrics and Special Needs (MAPS).
Dr. Roeder’s philosophy centers on treating each child as a unique individual, addressing root health concerns rather than isolated symptoms, and reducing reliance on urgent or emergency services by providing comprehensive, proactive care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, exercise, and spending time with her husband, family, and community in Austin.
